Woodcutters Cottage is a great base for exploring

Only three miles from the historic market town of Macclesfield. Known for its connections with the silk industry Macclesfiled is pleasant town which caters for daily needs. The town is host to the brilliant Treacle Market on the last Sunday of each month and The Barnaby Festival of Visual Arts, Music and fun in June.

Woodcutters Cottage is great place to explore. Within a twenty minute drive are many National Trust and independently run country Houses and estates. Gawsworth Hall, Tatton Hall, Capesthorne Hall, Little Moreton Hall and Dunham Massey are close by with Chatsworth House less than an hours drive away.
The Peak Park,with its lovely villages and open countryside is on our doorstep with the towns of Tideswell, Bakewell, Baslow and many more are within easy reach.
